Q. how much do photo and video services cost?

A. That all depends. We don’t like to make set promises on our page because every single project is different. While one three-minute video might take an afternoon to put together with minimal editing, another piece of similar length could take 40 hours of shooting, days of scripting, a full musical score, and complex editing. We’re honest and upfront about our pricing and don’t want to charge for services you don’t need. That’s why we don’t give price estimates until after we’ve met with you and decided what needs to be done to recognize your vision. We’ll be fair and upfront with you. We won’t tack on extra services to your invoice without asking for approval, and we won’t suddenly hike up prices halfway through a shoot.

 

Q. Where are you located?

A. Woodruff Creative is located in Asheville, North Carolina.

 

Q. Will you travel for a project?

A. Of course! We love to travel to new places and we don’t limit our work to any particular region, country, or continent. If you want us to work on your project, get in touch and we will figure out a way to make it work. Certain locations may require additional costs for travel and lodging, but we will always decide on those charges before a contract is signed so you know what you’re getting into.

 

Q. what happens if I don’t like my video?

A. It happens! For whatever reason, sometimes our work doesn’t line up with your vision. We do everything we can to prevent that from happening: for larger projects you’ll get a project outline and rough storyboards before we start shooting. We’ll send all script drafts to you for approval before we even start editing. Once the final project is complete, we allow one round of revisions on the house. Usually, it’s a quick fix like changing a shot or two or subbing out one line of dialogue for another. These can typically be taken care of with one more day of editing. Sometimes we need to reshoot certain parts of the video, retrack audio, or compose a new piece of music. These typically come with additional fees and we will talk to you before we start that work.

 

Q. will you shoot my [insert name of event]?

A. Most likely, yes! We love to shoot weddings, corporate retreats, fashion shows, fundraisers, family reunions—you name it. We have seen it all and have the ability to make almost anything look beautiful. If you’re not sure if we’re right for your shoot, send us an email and we’ll talk about it to see if we’re the right fit.

 

Q. how do i pay you?

A. We want our services to be accessible for everyone. We make payments simple: we send you an invoice and you can pay by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Venmo, Square, Cash App, check, or cash. We typically require up-front payment for all services, but offer exceptions for low-income, startup, or non-profit clients. If your invoice is looking a little steep for your budget, we can set up installment plans or down payment/pay upon completion plans. Just ask and we will work with you.
